Juicy Hawaiian Fruit

Christmas in Hawaii

Christmas in the middle of the Pacific. A mix of Santa, High School Marching Bands, Hawaiian chants, tahitian hips, Candy flying at you. Warm rain and blurry Christmas lights in your windshield wipers. Polyglot of various polynesian, asian and european races.

Pasture Big Island Horses

If you can't find me it's probably because I am out with my horses. There are green pastures all year long in North Hilo, Hamakua, and Waimea. Places to ride. Abundant rainfall and sunshine. Emerald Island set in the dark blue Pacific. I kept my Hanoverian a stud for a while. I usually have young horses for sale, or know where you might find them.

Health Food, Local Farmers, Fruit, Flowers

The Baby Boom generation is interested in quality of life. Succulent tropical fruit is as healthy as it is delicious. Running down your chin. Natural phytochemicals science is discovering. Cancer fighters and preventers. Just say no to stroke and heart disease. De stress, decompress, and shop for Thai basil instead at Hilo Farmer's Market. Green way to help save the planet and achieve the health and tranquility of a yoga master.
We have the commercial building next to Hilo Farmer's Market for sale. A venue for squeezing fruit, making juice, weaving hats. Reading. Listening to the rain and watching the ceiling fan go round and round.

Writer's Solitude

To write. Solitude. Time to think. Uninterrupted hours. Tradewinds whisper. Warm. Rain showers. Solar Power. A garden. A retreat. I see this forest and fern two acres as a possible place for a writer's retreat in the tropics. Wear a tank top all year. Grow bananas, coffee, papaya. Use the power of the sun. Rainwater is collected to drink, do dishes, wash clothes. What more do you need?

The rugged lava coastline of the Big Island of Hawaii.  There are times when the sea seems imbued with turquoise and glints of purple. Frothy white seafoam cascades over jagged lava formations.  The motion of the waves, endlessly hypnotic.

The entire island is composed primarily of lava and ash.

Starting Something New in Hawaii

A bay filly born on my ranch located in North Hilo, Hawaii. Abundant rainfall and sunshine here. Plenty of green grass all year long.   Temperatures are mild ranging from the low to mid 60s in winter and low to mid 80s in summer.
This filly has a lovely temperament. She is a coming two year old now and I am just starting to accustom her to saddle and bridle.
